Welcome to Swypit. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Swypit mobile application ("App") operated by Swypit ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Swypit. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian's consent. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with others.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • You can delete your account at any time from within the App.

3. Buyers

  • You may browse products, place orders, and communicate with vendors through the App.
  • When you place an order, you agree to pay the listed price plus any applicable fees.
  • All orders are paid online via Paystack. There is no cash on delivery option.
  • Unpaid online orders are automatically cancelled after 2 hours.
  • You may request order cancellation, but the vendor has the right to accept or decline based on order status.

4. Vendors

  • To sell on Swypit, you must set up a vendor profile with accurate business information.
  • You are solely responsible for your listings, pricing, descriptions, and fulfilment.
  • Swypit charges a commission on each sale (currently 3%). This rate may change with notice.
  • When a buyer pays, your share (sale amount minus the 3% platform commission) is automatically transferred to your registered Paystack account.
  • You must comply with all applicable local laws regarding the products you sell.
  • You may not sell illegal, counterfeit, hazardous, or prohibited items.

5. Payments

  • All payments are processed in GHS (Ghanaian Cedis).
  • Online payments are handled by Paystack. By paying, you also agree to Paystack's terms.
  • Swypit does not store your card or mobile money credentials — all payment data is handled by Paystack.
  • Refunds are handled case-by-case between the buyer, vendor, and Swypit support.

6. Content and Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent product listings
  • Upload content that is illegal, offensive, hateful, or infringes on others' rights
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users via messages or comments
  • Attempt to manipulate reviews, ratings, or the product feed
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Access other users' accounts or data without authorisation
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the App's operation

We may remove content and suspend or ban accounts that violate these rules, at our discretion.

7. Intellectual Property

  • The Swypit name, logo, design, and code are our intellectual property.
  • Content you upload remains yours, but you grant us a licence to display and distribute it within the App.
  • You may not use Swypit's branding without written permission.

8. Disclaimers

  • Swypit is a marketplace platform. We are not a party to transactions between buyers and vendors.
  • We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of products listed by vendors.
  • The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • We are not liable for losses arising from transactions, delivery issues, or user disputes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Swypit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or business interruption.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • Disputes between buyers and vendors should first be resolved through in-app messaging.
  • If unresolved, either party may contact Swypit support for mediation.
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.

11. Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time. Personal data is removed and public content anonymised.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, fraudulent activity, or at our discretion with notice.
  • Outstanding commission debts or pending orders must be resolved before vendor account closure.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
